Why we are
building this

The question we heard most often while teaching parents about financial literacy was where and how to invest the child benefit they receive from the state.

We are mums ourselves. We know what it means to want a better start for your child.

That's why we are building Fund18 — the product we would want for our own families.

Client relations partner at Synergy Finance and co-founder of the social project INWEST. She currently works with Synergy Finance advising clients whose portfolios total €120 million.

“I see more and more women interested in investing, but few find the courage to start. So my day-to-day work is helping people who want to start investing find their own path and move confidently towards financial freedom.”

Jekaterina Govina

Mum of Gerda, 15

Finance expert, investing teacher and co-founder of INWEST.

From 2008 she worked in Lithuanian financial market supervision: she started at the Insurance Supervisory Commission, then at the Bank of Lithuania supervised financial service providers, handled consumer complaints and advised a board member on fintech and innovation, and in 2019 became Director of the Bank of Lithuania's Supervision Service. She represented Lithuania in the European supervisory authorities — EBA, ESMA and the ECB.

Today she turns that experience into plain language — so that every woman can invest with confidence.

5 in 10 people in Lithuania still don't invest.

The most common reasons are a lack of knowledge, fear of risk and the belief that there isn't enough money. So many people keep putting off the first step. At INWEST we work every day to change that.

Growing up, we had no chance to learn about investing at school or at home — we had to find our own way. So we created INWEST: an independent financial education platform and community where people can learn, share their stories and support each other.

Our approach is built on patience, consistency and responsible decisions — without impulsive emotions, with a plan and a long-term goal.

Where we are now

We are building Fund18 to meet EU investment services requirements. We will apply to the Bank of Lithuania for a licence and won't start operating until we have it.

When we're ready, the people on the waitlist will be the first to know.
